Afternorth being in charge as a graphic design consultant for AF's annual report, we have collaborated with AF multiple times. This experience has given us a deep understanding of their organizational needs and editorial style. During our pitch presentation, when we presented the moodboard concept, they immediately loved the initial idea.
Afternorth being in charge as a graphic design consultant for AF's annual report, we have collaborated with AF multiple times. This experience has given us a deep understanding of their organizational needs and editorial style. During our pitch presentation, when we presented the moodboard concept, they immediately loved the initial idea.
The design is inspired by the program pillars of AF. We executed the visuals using a flat color style combined with bold vector elements to highlight the program pillars, creating a cohesive look with the event and activity photos. We also utilized a three-column grid layout, which is a fundamental design style in InDesign.
This annual report is significant in showcasing what they focus on: #BeASEAN.
The ASEAN Secretariat in collaboration with Japan International Cooperation Centre (JICE) organised the ASEAN Volunteers Report Meeting – as a culmination event for the implementation of the ASEAN Volunteers: Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Preparedness project. The event gathered selected volunteers and representatives from all stakeholders who contributed to the project to share and report on their experiences and lessons learned during the volunteers’ deployment in several ASEAN Member States (AMS).

We aimed to select colors and visual styles that align with the ASEAN Foundation’s identity. The grid system, using 16-32 rows, was applied casually to ensure that each design element is connected, while also making the Annual Report visually prominent.
